    Computer Skills Office Clerk

    What you'll learn 

    This six-month, entry-level program is designed for people who need computer and workplace skills for career opportunities in the office environment. You will prepare to take the following certification exams:

    • Internet and Computing Core (IC3)
    • Microsoft Office Specialist

    This program is self-paced. You may enter the program at any time and are expected to complete the program and take your certification exams within six months. You are required to spend 20 hours a week working through the course material. An open lab in the Achievement Center in SC4's College Center is available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.

    A qualified instructor will be available to coach students. You will meet with the lab instructor to construct a personal project plan to facilitate completion of all coursework and examinations within six months.

    The cost of this program includes all materials and certification exam vouchers.


    Must complete WorkKeys assessments - reading for information (level 5), applied mathematics (level 3) and locating information (level 3). Testing is $50 and should be completed at least one week prior to class start date. On test day, photo ID is required and no cell phones are allowed. To schedule testing, call (810) 989-5555. Information regarding free testing vouchers is available through the Michigan Works! office in Port Huron. You will need to place a current resume on the Pure Michigan Talent Connect website at
