Community

At SC4, our commitment to our community comes in many forms. In addition to educational opportunities, SC4 offers experiences, training and events for families, alumni, area residents and visitors. We are your community college, and serving you is the focus of everything we do.

SC4 students and alumni are in every corner of our region — living, working and serving our communities in health care, education, manufacturing, hospitality, government, public safety, design, retail and more.

Whether they earn a degree or certificate, transfer to a four-year institution or take summer classes as guest students, their choice to attend SC4 at a third of the cost of a Michigan public, four-year university is smart, and their presence in our community is immeasurable.

The college proudly hosts a full calendar of programs, exhibits, concerts, workshops, classes and shows to satisfy every art persuasion.

SC4 is home to 11 athletic teams — all led by passionate and knowledgeable coaches. Teams include men’s and women’s cross country, volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s bowling, wrestling, baseball, men’s golf and softball.

Skippers Athletics has a long history of success, both in the state and nationally.
