Support for families

The process of applying for, getting into, and attending college has changed dramatically in the last 15 to 20 years. On top of all the tests and extracurricular activities expected of your son or daughter, the price tag of a college degree has gone up sharply — more than 200% in some studies.

For many parents, paying for a 4-year degree from a national public or private institution can be expensive, stressful and downright overwhelming. And that’s true even if you, as a parent, are college educated or tried to plan ahead by saving tuition money for your student.

Community college is the smart alternative. Your student can earn a 2- or 4-year degree affordably while also getting hands on learning experience and one-on-one attention they likely wouldn’t get in a large university setting.

Even though SC4 is a less expensive choice, we understand it is still a big expense for families. That’s why our Financial Aid office is here to help with anything you may need. There are also several scholarship opportunities available for students.
