SC4 Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund Application

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, SC4 has and continues to provide support to impacted students. A minimum of $4,000,000 in federal emergency grants to support SC4 students impacted is available to currently enrolled SC4 students experiencing expenses directly related to the pandemic. Awards are available to help students who are working toward the completion of a certificate or degree.

The current emergency funding to support SC4 students includes $954,739 received as part of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) signed into law on December 27, 2020 as well as an additional $3,380,531 authorized from the U.S. Department of Education, provided under Section 2003(a)(1) of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.

In distributing these funds, SC4 has followed, and will follow, the instructions and guidance provided by the U.S. Department of Education, Federal Student Aid, and the Certification and Agreement completed by the College. That guidance provides institutions with discretion to develop their own systems and processes for determining how to allocate these funds, subject to certain limitations on student eligibility and expense eligibility.
