SUMMARY:Naturalization Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Faculty\, staff\, students\, and community members are invited to attend the Naturalization Ceremony on Thursday\, September 17 at 11:00 AM in the SC4 Fieldhouse. Join us for this inspiring Constitution Day celebration as we welcome and honor new U.S. citizens during a meaningful milestone in their citizenship journey. \n\n\n\nThis marks the fourth year SC4 has hosted the ceremony in partnership with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Federal Judge Kimberly Altman will preside over the ceremony\, and the keynote address will be delivered by SVSU business professor Dr. Joseph Ofori-Dankwa\, a naturalized U.S. citizen. \n\n\n\nLast year\, nearly 150 individuals representing more than 40 nations completed the naturalization process on SC4’s campus. \n\n\n\nWe are honored to host this special event and invite both the campus and local community to be part of this memorable occasion. Come celebrate the values of citizenship\, diversity\, and opportunity as we welcome our newest U.S. citizens. We look forward to seeing you there!

SUMMARY:Noon and Night Concert: The Lexington Bach Festival String Quartet – Classical
DESCRIPTION:The Lexington Bach Festival String Quartet — returns to the SC4 Fine Arts Theatre for another of its highly regarded performances. This year’s program features an exciting blend of compositions that explore a range of styles\, largely influenced by Johann Sebastan Bach. The program will turn to Alexander Borodin and his String Quartet No. 2 in D Major. Influenced by Bach\, Borodin\, is considered one of the top Russian composers\, despite being known as a “Sunday composer.”  A man of great dimensions\, composing was a “side gig” for him as his main work was as a physician and chemistry professor. (Notably\, he also was among the first to enable women to become physicians.) Treat yourself to a live musical experience performed by consummate professionals.
