From that point on\, Maria was surrounded by music and the arts\, soaking up every bit of theater and live performance her parents could share. \n\n\n\nShe taught herself guitar from the University of YouTube and learned to sing by belting out Aretha Franklin\, Celine Dion\, Mariah Carey\, and Etta James songs in her bedroom after school (she’s is still so sorry to her neighbors)  She also attended Berklee College of Music for a short time before dropping out due to her busy performance schedule.  \n\n\n\nOver the past 20 years\, she’s taken her soulful voice and powerful lyrics across the country\, mixing Motown\, pop\, and blues covers with original songs that dive into mental health\, surviving abusive relationships\, and the “joys” of having an ADHD brain.
