SUMMARY:The Color of Freedom
DESCRIPTION:The Color of Freedom is this year’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day play\, in collaboration with New Beginnings Theatre. Written once again by Evangelist Debra McNair\, The Color of Freedom promises to be our most ambitious production yet\, showcasing singing\, dancing and spoken word pieces\, and featuring a diverse cast with several SC4 students. \n\n\n\nThe play features historical characters and pivotal events in Black history—from the trans-Atlantic slave trade to the civil rights movement of the 1960s—offering audiences an immersive look at the people and moments that shaped Martin Luther King Jr.’s life. It all centers around the titular question: What is the Color of Freedom? \n\n\n\nThe Color of Freedom is free and open to the public on Martin Luther King Jr. Day\, January 19\, 2026\, at 6 p.m. in the SC4 Fine Arts Theatre. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.\, and seating fills quickly\, so be sure to arrive early and experience this powerful production.

SUMMARY:Theatre Production: All I Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten
DESCRIPTION:Join us for SC4’s FREE winter play production of All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten\, directed by James McCulloch\, reminds us of the profound lessons found in everyday life. \n\n\n\nBased on Robert Fulghum’s best-selling books\, Kindergarten takes a funny\, insightful\, heartwarming look at what is profound in everyday life. The delightful stories feature colorful characters such as: a shy little boy who insists on playing the “pig” in his class production of Cinderella and steals the show; a man whose dream of flying carries him high over Los Angeles … in a lawn chair buoyed by surplus weather balloons; a “mother of the bride” who’s staged a perfect wedding—until the bowling ball of fate rolls down the aisle; and a modern-day Greek philosopher who finds the meaning of life in a piece of broken mirror from World War II. These stories celebrate our very existence\, from the whimsy of childhood to the wisdom of old age.   \n\n\n\nCast list: \n\n\n\nWyatt Clarke (Current SC4 Student) \n\n\n\nJay Taylor (Current SC4 Student) \n\n\n\nAlec Modrich (Current SC4 Student) \n\n\n\nJosh Fahs (SC4 Alumni) \n\n\n\nNatalie Manhart (Current SC4 Student) \n\n\n\nKathryn Manhart (Current SC4 Student) \n\n\n\nTeagan Snay (Current SC4 Student) \n\n\n\nLeah Lafferty (Current SC4 Student) \n\n\n\nMatthew Harper (Current SC4 Student) \n\n\n\nStephen Kenny (SC4 Alumni) \n\n\n\nSara Prapotnik (SC4 Alumni) \n\n\n\nSal Hernandez (Current SC4 Student) \n\n\n\nDavid Wendelt (Current SC4 Student) \n\n\n\nMadyson McGuffin (Future SC4 Student) \n\n\n\nSuzanne O’Brien (SC4 Faculty)–Tentative

SUMMARY:New Beginnings Theatre presents – I Remember When
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for this wonderful production by Mrs. Debra McNair at the SC4 Fine Arts Theatre. \n\n\n\nThis stage play will portray several riveting vignettes that will seek to capture and document both factual and historical occurrences in history. These dramatized vignettes will endeavor to extract significant and poignant moments that impacted and changed the narrative in the lives of black people in America. \n\n\n\nIt will endeavor to arouse a penetrating emotional response that may evoke a stream of passion as we relive those moments in time. But these emotions will be yielded by the sounds of hope and victory as we salute the historical and ionic General Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

SUMMARY:Theatre: Love Letters
DESCRIPTION:SC4 presents Love Letters by A.R. Gurney. \n\n\n\nThis SC4 production under the direction of Jay McCulloch and is part of the Port Huron Theatre District Festival. \n\n\n\nAndrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner\, both born to wealth and position\, are childhood friends whose lifelong correspondence begins with birthday party thank-you notes and summer camp postcards. Romantically attached\, they continue to exchange letters through the boarding school and college years – where Andy goes on to excel at Yale and law school\, while Melissa flunks out of a series of “good schools.” Eventually she and Andy do become involved in a brief affair\, but it is really too late for both of them. However\, Andy’s last letter\, written to her mother after Melissa’s untimely death\, makes it eloquently clear how much they really meant\, and gave to\, each other over the years – physically apart\, perhaps\, but spiritually as close as only true lovers can be. \n\n\n\nPerformances 8 p.m. June 3; 3 and 8 p.m. June 4\, and 3 p.m. June 5.LOCATION: SC4 Fine Arts Theatre \n\n\n\nAdvance tickets for this performance are available online or at the door.
