Student Welcome Week Activities

August 19 at 10:30 am to August 22 at 6:00 pm

Activities for students will take place primarily from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. between the College Center and Fine Arts Building. Join us to learn about support services and connect with your SC4 campus community. Activities include campus greeters and information tables, dunk tank, laser tag, lawn games, cornhole, giant Jenga, outdoor music, free welcome lunch, ice cream, open-gym volleyball, popcorn and more. SC4 High School Volleyball Invitational

The 15-team SC4 High School Volleyball Invitational gets under way with pool play at 8:30 a.m. The competing varsity teams are Brown City, Capac, Chippewa Valley, Howell, Madison Heights Lamphere, Marine City, Marlette, Marysville, Memphis, Mt. SC4 Bioswale walking tour

September 4 at 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Friends of the St. Clair River is leading a tour of the SC4 bioswales and rain gardens. Participants will learn what is happening with the campus' green infrastructure projects and learn how these unique features protect water quality and provide wildlife habitat. Tours begin in the SC4 College Center Atrium at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Concert: Lexington Bach String Quartet

SC4 is happy to feature standout performers from the Lexington Bach Festival, a weeklong event bringing the music of Johann Sebastian Bach and other composers influenced by Bach to our community. The quartet will kick off our Free Thursday Concert Series by performing classic compositions. Performances are scheduled for noon and 7 p.m. in the SC4 Fine Arts Theatre.

Constitution Day event

Students can participate in on an interactive activity where they can express how they think the Constitution should be amended. Given that society is changing, students can express what amendments they think would help address situations that our Founders may not have anticipated.
