PORT HURON – St. Clair County Community College announces extended registration and bookstore hours for fall semester to help more students navigate the college enrollment process. Fall classes begin the week of Aug. 20.
Representatives from admissions, financial aid, enrollment services, advising, testing and housing will be available to meet with students from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 6, Tuesday, Aug. 7, Monday, Aug. 13 and Tuesday, Aug. 14 in SC4’s Dr. James C. Acheson Welcome Center, located at the corner of Erie Street and Glenwood Avenue.
Extended hours are addition to standard hours, which include 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Fridays. Additionally, the Testing Center is open until 8 p.m. every Monday and Tuesday.
“We aim to maximize student success here on campus,” said Vice President of Student Services Pete Lacey. “Often that means offering students classes or services at times that work best for them.”
Staff will be available to take students through application, assessments, advising and registration. Financial aid representatives will assist students with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and securing funding to attend fall semester.
Bookstore hours also will be extended on those dates from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
