Board Policy 2.3

Senior Adult Services

Policy

The Board of Trustees of St. Clair County Community College recognizes the need for broad community participation and inter-action with the many community college programs and services. It also recognizes that the older adults of our District merit special encouragement and assistance towards fuller participation in many meaningful programs available through the College.

The administration is authorized to establish procedures to accomplish the above and especially to seek the ways and means of reducing barriers that prohibit our older adults from full participation in the Community College.

Administration

  2. Eligible senior adults must demonstrate their eligibility prior to receiving any
    special consideration.
  3. Senior adults will be entitled to:

College; however, the College reserves the right to exempt certain functions
from free admission as needs may dictate. For some events, the College may
establish reduced rates for eligible senior adults.
    B. Free admission to all athletic events.
    C. Borrowing privileges for materials in the Learning Resources Center’s circulating
    collection.
