Campus wireless

SC4 offers wireless internet access in buildings throughout its Port Huron campus. By connecting to the college’s wireless network, you agree to abide by SC4’s Acceptable Use Policy, which can be found in the SC4 College Catalog.

Students taking classes for credit must activate their SC4 student email account to be able to access the wireless network.

Non-credit students and community residents who wish to access the wireless network can use the SC4Guest wireless network.

The steps to connect an iOS (iPhone or iPad) or Android device may vary by device type or operating system version. For assistance with connecting a personal device to the wireless, please contact the helpdesk at (810) 989-5615.

Connecting with a Android device

1. Go to settings

2. Select connections

3. Select WIFI

4. Select the wireless network labeled “SC4”

5. You will be prompted with the following screen. Fill in the information below and leave the other choices at their default configuration.

  • CA Certificate: Select “Don’t validate”
  • Identity: Enter your SC4 username (note: Only username not email)
  • Password: Enter your current computer password

6. Once the information above has been entered, your device will connect to the SC4 network. You should not have to log into the SC4 network again unless you change your password or replace that device.

Connecting with a iOS device

1. Go to the System Settings

2. Select WI-FI

3. Select the network named “SC4”

4. Enter your current SC4 username and password. (note: Only username not email)

5. Select trust when prompted for a certificate.

6. Once the information above has been entered, your device will connect to the SC4 network. You should not have to log into the SC4 network again unless you change your password or replace that device.
