SC4 Offers Free Community Concerts

SC4 is continuing its tradition of putting on the Free Noon and Night Concert Series. This program offers one free concert every month of the academic school year to members of the community. Offered concerts include various genres, including singer/songwriter, opera, Caribbean band, country, folk and more. A selection of concerts also includes educational opportunities.

For the month of October, SC4 welcomes singer and guitarist Maria Rose. Rose has been performing for twenty years, playing a combination of Motown, pop, and blues. More information on this artist can be found at https://sc4.edu/event/free-concert-maria-rose-folk-acoustic-guitar/.

The Free Noon and Night Concert Series is coordinated by Mindy Charron, SC4 community arts liaison. As part of her role with SC4, Charron seeks out talented performers for these concerts and bridges them with the Port Huron community.

“Through the SC4 free concert series, our goal for concert attendees is to more than expand their music appreciation in the variety of artists and music offered, but that they will leave enriched, having learned something new or feeling better than when they walked in.“
