Transfer Students
Transfer to SC4
Many students transfer credits to SC4. It’s an easy process!
College credit from K-12 institutions
Articulation agreements with area TEC centers (including St. Clair TEC) can result in earned college credits for students who successfully complete their TEC program.
K-12 agreements are listed below. Complete the Student Articulation Application and bring it to your advising appointment.
College credit from industry credentials/completed apprenticeships
Students with industry credentials or apprenticeship experience may be eligible for college credit. Visit SC4’s Industry Credentials and Apprenticeships page to see how your experience may shorten your time to degree completion!
Transferring from another college or university
Courses you completed at another institution may transfer to your SC4 program. Be sure to follow the steps to apply for admission to SC4, which include submitting your official transcript(s) from previous institution(s) to SC4’s Records office for evaluation.
Specific to students transferring from another Michigan community college where the MTA designation was earned: upon submission to the Records office, transcripts will be evaluated and recorded as meeting MTA requirements for SC4’s associate of arts or science degrees, as long as the previous institution designated MTA completion. In any case, the 30 credit hours of lower-level general education from the sending institution will be accepted as a block of 30 credit hours by SC4. Please note that not all 30 credits may meet program requirements for an associate of applied arts and science (occupational) program.
