TRIO Program
What is TRIO-SSS?
The TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Program is set apart by providing comprehensive, one-hour advising and tutoring services to first-generation, low-income, and/or disabled students. The goal of TRIO is to improve retention, graduation, and transferability while empowering students toward academic success.
Services include:
- Personalized academic advising
- Financial aid assistance
- Individualized and group tutoring
- Free special events and social/cultural activities (day trips, museums, plays, etc.)
- Priority registration for SC4 classes (with the exception of nursing courses)
- Select college/university visits
- Free printing and use of TRIO computer lab
- Student success workshops
Program requirements:
- Be a current St. Clair County Community College Student
- Participate in a TRIO service at least three times per semester
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average

Current TRIO students
TRIO students have dedicated advisors and tutors. If you are a current TRIO student and wish to schedule an in-person or virtual appointment, please use the button below. TRIO tutors can also accommodate walk-in tutoring on a first-come, first-served basis.
