The second class of St. Clair County Community College’s Skippers Athletics Hall of Fame will be inducted Saturday, Feb. 10, in the McMorran Theater.
Two legendary teams and 14 individuals will join the Hall of Fame, and the public is invited to join the festivities.
A social hour with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar begins at 5 p.m. with the ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door, online at sc4.edu/halloffametickets, or by calling the SC4 Business Office at 810-989-5513.
The two teams entering the Hall of Fame are the 1966-67 men’s basketball team, coached by Robert “Sam” Kromer, and the 1976-77 women’s basketball team, coached by Jacqueline “Jackie” Jeffery.
Women’s basketball players Ann (Shaw) Janssen and Nancy DeNardin, volleyball player Melissa (Reynolds) Stahl, baseball players Bill Nahorodny and Jeff Wiley, golfers Tom Foster and John Traub, softball player Kim (Lackowski) Gentner, men’s basketball players Randy Anderson and Dan McLemore, hockey players Jerry Moses, David Hebner and Scott Snyder, and women’s basketball, the late coach Paul Jackson also will be inducted.
