Juneteenth Celebration
June 18, 2022 at 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Juneteenth is a time which we gather to celebrate a great day in American History. We realize that freedom knows no color and extends far beyond race, ethnicity or socioeconomic status. This year’s theme is “Freedom is for Everyone!”
The event is noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 18, on SC4’s campus and will feature live performances, Juneteenth educational resources, special guests, great food, and music as the focus of the day. There also will be a Kid Zone that includes free crafts, games, cake walk, activities, bounce houses and storytelling sessions. Something for everyone, including prizes and giveaways throughout the day.
The event is co-sponsored by SC4’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Office, Port Huron Black Lives Matter, Port Huron Branch of the NAACP, St. Clair County Organizing for Regional Equity, C4 Yourself Church, Blue Water Arts Committee, Community Foundation of St. Clair County Equity and Inclusion Committee, Blue Water Area Chamber of Commerce, City of Port Huron and Port Huron Museums.
The event is free but online registration is requested.
