St. Clair County Community College (SC4) is now accepting applications from students interested in living on campus for the 2024-25 academic year.

SC4 is the only community college in Southeast Michigan to offer housing, providing students a complete college experience at an affordable cost. Students may choose between two downtown Port Huron residence hall options located on Bard Street and Huron Avenue. A variety of room types are available including studios, 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom units, giving students the opportunity to live independently or with roommates.

“Student housing is a wonderful option for students who are looking to immerse themselves in their SC4 experience,” said SC4 College Housing Manager Wesley Whetstone.

Both locations offer fully furnished units with easy access to campus as well as the area’s great dining and entertainment options, outdoor recreation activities, and potential employment opportunities with local businesses.

In addition to enjoying convenient access to the area’s growing arts, entertainment and dining scene, housing students pay in-district tuition rates. Other amenities provided to all residents include a Blue Water Area Transit bus pass, a membership to the YMCA, and a DashPass subscription for the year from Door Dash with free delivery fees on qualifying orders.

Whetstone shared additional features exclusive to living at SC4, noting “The personal connections and relational nature of our housing program cultivates a unique culture that stands out from larger universities. Having resources such as a community of peers and access to full-time housing staff members who support students in their pursuit of a college degree are major benefits to living on campus at SC4.”
