Skippers finish 8th in the nation

DANVILLE, Ill. – A memorable season came to a close Saturday, March 23, as the St. Clair County Community College (SC4) Skippers men’s basketball team fell to Macomb 94-84 at the NJCAA National Championship tournament in Danville, Illinois. 

The Skippers competed all week against the top teams and some of the best players in America. Tournament rosters included student-athletes from 37 States, plus Washington D.C. and nine different countries.

Leading the way for the Skippers was Tyler Hamilton with 30 points and Zaveon Little contributed 15 points. Head coach Richard Field and the Skippers were selected as the recipient of the best sportsmanship award for the tournament, placing 8th in the nation. The team finished the season with an overall record of 27-8.
