The Lambda Mu chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society at St. Clair County Community College will present its 23rd annual Honors Symposium on Friday, Feb. 23.
The event, “Transformations: Acknowledging, Assessing, and Achieving Change,” will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 150 of the Dr. James C. Acheson SC4 Welcome Center on the Port Huron campus.
Participants may attend any or all of the free sessions. No registration is necessary.
Scheduled to speak are:
- 9 to 9:50 a.m. — SC4 Professor of Chemistry Joe Gibbons, “Dynamics of Discovery.”
- 10 to 10:50 a.m. — SC4 Professor of English Dr. Suzanne O’Brien, “Politics of Identity and Channels of Creativity.”
- 11 a.m. to 11:50 p.m. — SC4 Professor of Criminal Justice James Jones, “Visions of Justice.”
- 1 to 1:50 p.m. — SC4 Professor of Computer Information Systems Robert Richardson, “The Powers of Connection.”
- 2 to 2:50 p.m. — SC4 adjunct instructor of English Robert Kroll, “Channels of Creativity.”
- 3 to 3:50 p.m. — SC4 Phi Theta Kappa members will discuss how all these topics fit in with the topic: Transformations: Acknowledging, Assessing, and Achieving Change.
