All-star high school athletes compete at St. Clair County Community College

Volleyball all stars

PORT HURON – St. Clair County Community College will host some of the Blue Water Area’s best athletes in the end of this week and next as part of its annual all-star events.

Graduating high school seniors from St. Clair County and surrounding schools will compete in volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball and golf starting with multiple volleyball matches tonight.

A total of 32 volleyball players will be split into four teams with the first matches starting at 7 p.m. at the SC4 Fieldhouse.

Girls and boys basketball games will be played Thursday night, also at the Fieldhouse, with the girls beginning the doubleheader at 6 p.m.

Admission for the volleyball and basketball events is $5 for adults, $3 for students and free for seniors age 60 and older, and children younger than eight.

Area golfers, boys and girls, will also play Thursday, with an 18-hole tournament at Port Huron Golf Club. Players are set to tee off at 1:30 p.m.

A nine-inning baseball game is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, June 18, at Sanborn Park, with a nine-inning softball game scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, at Pine Grove Park.

Admission to the golf, baseball and softball events is free.
