Skipper softball players earn conference honors

St. Clair County Community College’s Taylor Westrick and Sarah Longuski were each named Second-Team All-Michigan Community College Athletic Association Eastern Conference.

They were among four Skippers who earned honors from the league, as Kaitlyn Griffith and Riley Montgomery were each Honorable Mention All-Conference selections. Longuski was also named to the All-Freshman Team.

Westrick, a sophomore from St. Clair, hit .333 this season with a .417 on-base percentage, two home runs and 24 RBI.

Longuski, also from St. Clair, hit .394 with a .522 on-base percentage, one home run, 21 runs scored, eight RBI and three stolen bases.

Griffith, a freshman from Richmond, hit .392 with a .454 on-base percentage. She drove in 22 runs and scored 16. Montgomery, a freshman from East Tawas, hit .320 with a .350 on-base percentage, driving in 11 runs, scoring 19 and stealing three bases.
