Continuing beyond SC4
After completing your Associate in Business degree at SC4, you can continue your business education by working on a bachelor’s degree in business. We have agreements with several state colleges and universities that will accept at least 60 to 62 credits from SC4, and in some cases, even more, than that!
Articulation agreements with SC4
Northwood University – BBA
Transfer Articulation Guides for the 3+1 Computer Information Management, Management, and Marketing – Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.).
Requirements of transfer agreement:
- Completion of an associate’s degree from St. Clair County Community College as shown by official transcripts (additional SC4 courses may be required – see advisor).
- Completion of all coursework as shown above. The required coursework, if not completed, must be taken at Northwood University, or completed as transfer credit.
- Minimum B.B.A. degree requirements: 123 semester hours; 31 semester hours must be completed at Northwood University.
- All transfer coursework must be college-level; remedial coursework is not considered college-level.
- Students may incorporate additional minors or majors, but this will involve additional coursework; please see a Northwood University advisor.
Siena Heights University – B.B.A.
A transfer articulation agreement is offered in Accounting, Business Administration, Management, and Marketing – Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.).
Requirements of the transfer agreement:
- The baccalaureate degree requires at least 120 semester hours for completion.
- For the above programs noted, a thirty-three (33) semester hour “residency” must be earned at SHU. Residency is fulfilled through online and/or on-campus courses.
- Thirty (30) semester hours must be earned at the junior/senior level (300/400), whereas 15 of the 30 semester hours at the 300/400 level must be earned at SHU.
- Students must fulfill all requirements of the SHU academic major and (optional) concentration.
- The cumulative grade point average must be a minimum of 2.0 to transfer into the SHU degree program. A minimum 2.50 SHU cumulative grade point average is required to complete any business-related academic major.
- Up to eighty-seven (87) semester hours of credit may be applied to a SHU baccalaureate degree. This includes six (6) credits in developmental classes, four ( 4) credits in physical education classes, CLEP, and any prior learning credit earned within the degree at SC4.
- Courses with a grade of C (2.0) and above will transfer to SHU. The grade of aD will transfer provided the course was completed within a conferred degree (e.g., associate degree). A transfer grade of a D cannot apply to fulfill SHU major requirements.
Students must fulfill all SHU liberal arts requirements m1d proficiency requirements in English and math.
Walsh College – B.B.A.
A transfer articulation agreement is offered in Business Administration in Management and Business Administration in Accounting Processes – Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.).
Requirements of the transfer agreement:
- An applicant must successfully complete, with a grade of “C” (2.000) or better
- A minimum of 60 semester credit hours (90 quarter hours) of coursework completed at the 100/1000 level or above.
- A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.000 on a 4.000 scale is required.
- At least 30 semester credit hours of the minimum 60 semester credit hours must be in liberal arts coursework.
- The liberal arts coursework must include:
- One course in English composition or written communication from an accredited United States institution
- One course in intermediate algebra or higher-level mathematics course/placement
