SC4 to play, host first round of NJCAA National Volleyball Tournament

St. Clair County Community College is pleased to host top collegiate volleyball players from Michigan, Ohio and Indiana in the first round of the NJCAA National Volleyball Tournament for Great Lakes Districts A and B at its Fieldhouse Nov. 7-9, 2019.

88fe50c2-8d6a-4c97-9bc7-ea2e4bc0a7bbThe Skippers volleyball team, with impressive wins against teams such as the Raiders of Oakland Community College, secured a spot in the opening round of the tournament.

Games will be played at the Fieldhouse on SC4’s campus:

  • Thursday, Nov. 7 at 4, 6 and 8 p.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 8 at 4, 6 and 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 9 at 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.

“We’re thrilled to host the first round of the national tournament,” said SC4 Athletics Director Dale Vos. “These teams represent some of the best teams in the Midwest. We welcome their supporters and collegiate sports fans in general to come check out some exciting games at the Fieldhouse and explore our vibrant downtown community.”

SC4 is scheduled to play in the tournament at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7 against Macomb Community College.

Tournament champions earn district titles and qualify for the national championship, advancing to the tournament’s next round in Charleston, West Virginia.

The public is encouraged to attend tournament games at the Fieldhouse. Admission is $10 at the door.
