Celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary with SC4!
SC4 is seeking performers for a special presentation of the award-winning musical 1776 as part of the nation’s 250th Anniversary Celebration.

About the Production
This will be a concert-style staging of the full musical, featuring all songs and dialogue, but with minimal production elements.
What that means:
- No sets
- No costumes
- No props
- No memorization required
- Limited blocking and movement
- Fewer rehearsals than a traditional production
We’re looking for vocalists and actors who can learn material quickly and enjoy bringing this historic story to life.
Who Can Audition?
Priority will be given to:
- SC4 students
- SC4 alumni
- SC4 faculty and staff
Community members are also encouraged to participate in this special commemorative event.

No problem! If you’re interested but unable to attend on August 3, please contact msreed@sc4.edu. This audition date is not the only opportunity to be cast.
Musicians Wanted!
Interested in performing in the pit orchestra? We are also seeking proficient instrumentalists.
Please email msreed@sc4.edu for more information. While the score is approachable, performers should be comfortable learning and performing music independently.
