SC4 celebrates Martin Luther King Jr. Day Jan. 15

St. Clair County Community College will present its 16th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, in the Fine Arts Theatre on SC4’s Port Huron campus.

The event will feature a celebration of King’s legacy with a diverse variety of musicians, dance and other performances.

The theme of this year’s event is “Follow his footsteps & live the dream.”

Scheduled presenters and performers include:

  • Britanie Vantifflin
  • Kevin Watkins, President of Port Huron Branch of the NAACP
  • Port Huron Mayor Pauline Repp
  • Restoration Christian Community Church
  • SONS Outreach Kidz
  • Thomason Family Band
  • Demond Jones
  • Tray Smith
  • Tyrone Burrell

Admission is free. The event is sponsored by the Port Huron branch of the NAACP, and the SC4 Global Diversity Advisory Council.
